I have a microwave wall oven that went out nearly 8 months ago. At the time, the technician misdiagnosed the problem, telling me the control panel had gone bad. So we waited 3 weeks for that part to ship and when he came back out to replace, realized it wasn't the control panel, but merely a fuse, which he replaced that day. Fast forward to 8 months later, the same thing happened. I called and explained the unit went out again, and this same thing happened 8 months ago and they replaced the fuse to get it working. "No problem" I was told. They'd be out in a few days to fix the problem. The technician came out, diagnosed that it was in fact a bad fuse, but then informed me he doesn't carry fuses on his truck and would not call anyone else at the company to see if another technician might. He said that the fuse would have to be ordered, leaving me, once again, without a working microwave for likely another two weeks. My first recommendation would be to have a part like a fuse on hand at all times given that they only cost about $12 on Amazon and that you service a model of microwave (Bosch) where this is a known issue, per my quick Google search. My second recommendation, if this first one is too big of a lift, is to order that $12 part in advance of my appointment, so that you're ready to repair the unit when you show up, instead of needing multiple visits to replace a $12 part (especially since the same problem just happened 8 months ago). Extremely frustrating experience.
