Pete and his staff were wonderful, the food was great and this was our second time back as they went out of their way to make us feel relaxed and comfortable while we enjoyed our delicious lunch.
I will always visit while staying in Evanston. Thanks Pete!

Service was wonderful and everyone was so friendly. The food is amazing and definitely American-Italian comfort food in a gorgeous setting.

My family took me there to celebrate my birthday. The salad was really bad. The lettuce and tomato tasted old. For the entree, two of my daughters and I got pastas, my husband got pizza and my other daughter got steak with mashed potatoes and some vegetables. I tasted some of her boiled broccoli and carrots- they were horrible. They were super watery- they tasted like they got them from the frozen vegetables section in a cheap supermarket. My pasta was so oily, I had one bite and couldn't finish.
Their service isn't great either. Below average at best. The waiter didn't know the menu, had no clue what to recommend and we had to ask him to get us the basic stuff- like forks and napkins!
All in all, I will never go back. Or recommend anyone to go there. It's a miserable place. If you want to get food that tastes like theirs, just go to any cheap supermarket and get a bunch of frozen foods and heat it up at home! It wasn't even that cheap. So take your money some better place.
I promise you're not missing anything.

This restaurant was ok at best. It's a nice looking place in a prominent area, which is likely what keeps it afloat more than anything. The service was alright. The waiter was rather incompitent. Any time my wife or I would ask a clarifying question about the menu or drinks, the waiter would simply repeat what was written on the menu, not answer the question, and appeared to be irritated with these basic questions. I have a reasonable expectation for weight staff to have basic interpersonal skills when they have a job working dirrectly with people.
The food selection was somewhat bland. It wasn't bad, but most of the food selections were basic meals that could be prepared at home in 20 minutes. I may have high expectations because I am a firefighter and have to cook good meals for my crew and if I don't I am certainly going to hear about it. I however, see no reason I shouldn't have the same expectations for a restaurant that I am paying my hard earned money for. To top off my experience, when I got home, the food "tore up" my stomach. I was on toilet for an hour. That is not acceptable. I have a strong stomach and can tolerate a lot of different foods. A simple chicken and pasta dish shouldn't effect me that way. That being said, the food must not have been cooked properly or there may be other unsanitary issues occuring in the kitchen. Either way, I was rather unhappy with my overall experience.
