Impossible to make appointment. Staff is not helpful and clearly do not want any patients. I wish they would just say "not taking patients".

2/15/24 Post Script:Today I learned no claim was submitted to Medicare for my January 2nd visit.Hence subsequent providers are billing me again for the deductible. Another RMEC bill is wrong as well. There apparently is no Medicare procedure to work with the subsequent providers which means I have to pay the deductible again with no recourse anywhere. This office has failed to behave professionally in both medical and office practices. January, 2024 This is an office in chaos. It takes weeks/months to become a patient due to a lengthy admissions process. The recommended hearing aids never came. The molds in the temps didn't fit. The temporary domes don't fit and one doesn't work. I was told to call Starkey, the manufacturer. They said that pair recommended to me was unavailable. I was discouraged from trying other products for comparison. Makes one wonder how they get paid. And how much your needs figure in It's not possible to get appointments for fittings/adjustments within the free trial period for any problem . In my case not at all possible because the right hearing aids never came even though the free trial started. Only temps. Calls are not returned. There simply is no support. The office manager is elusive and is not responding to requests to make an appointment so I can return the hearing aids, get a receipt and a refund. She told me to swing by and leave $6k hearing aids at the frontdesk. This has been an unusually frustrating and disappointing experience.

I'm a former patient of Dr Kelsall's, he fixed my hearing in 1993, and I've seen him for a couple follow ups over the years. So, when I started to experience some new, urgent issues, I wanted to go to him. I never expected such a hassle! The 15 pages of information required before an appointment can even be considered was the least irritating thing I had to deal with over the last week. -I've been told that I don't exist in their system, because it's been too long since my last appointment. -I was told I needed to get a referral before they would do anything. My insurance doesn't require a referral. Doesn't matter, their office requires that. Why is that? They just tell you it's because they said so. This would have delayed my appointment by weeks, AND wasted my PCP's time. -I've been asked to provide proof that Dr Kelsall did my previous surgeries, which I don't have, because I thought he would have that info and if they don't keep that record, how am I supposed to get it? -I've had to call and follow up on emails and calls repeatedly, with no response or a late response. Usually I get a half answer, or no answer at all. And then I get told how they are too busy to help you. The front office seems to be actively pushing people towards other doctors. -I was waiting for the final call to schedule an appointment, and thought I'd check other reviews and see if anyone else had these requirements. I was able to read through reviews, call around with my questions, and got an appointment with a new doctor a day before they finally emailed their availability. This whole process took a week, while I was dealing with some urgent issues that needed to be addressed. Since I had an appointment with another doctor, I asked for my records, and will take them with me. I got an appointment sooner, and without any hassle. No one even asked if there was anything they could do to get me to stay with them. Apparently they are so busy they can turn away business. It's a shame, I can't see my doctor anymore because of his front office and bad policies.

I have spent 3 weeks attempting to get a new patient appointment at this office to see one of the Otologists. The fact that they need a referral before taking any next steps further delays the process. When they received my referral, they emailed me 15 pages of new patient paperwork to fill out and email back to them before they are willing to schedule an appointment. I sent the 15 pages back within 4 hours of receiving it and havent heard from their office to finally schedule an appointment. However, the most challenging aspect is that no one EVER answers the phone in addition to emails and voicemails going unreturned on their end. Ive given up on this practice and even though it will be an hour and a half drive for me, Im seeing a specialist in Colorado Springs who is able to get me in next week without any additional hoops for me to jump through. Even better, Dr. Joseph Hegarty has amazing reviews compared to Rocky Mountain Ear so I already feel like Im going to be in better hands. Save yourself the headache and find another practice.
