I live in an RV as do many people in this area. There is a common problem that can occur with propane where it can be contaminated with oil. The oil can come from a variety of places including a small amount that can be left over from the refining process, or, the company can be devious and deliver HD-10 or commercial grade propane when the customer believes they are getting the higher grade HD-5, a small amount can even come from older hoses that need to be replaced. But the biggest contributors are probably oil coming from the pumps that need to be serviced on the delivery trucks and, the biggest culprit is an old tank that simply has been in use too long and over time has built up way too much oil in it. The only answer to this problem is to drain/clean the tank. Such is the case with a tank I have been using from Yavapai Bottle Gas. The oil contamination is so bad that it has ruined 3 regulators in 5 months and clogged up most of my appliances causing me to not only have to replace the regulator for the fourth time but also necessitating my disassembling my entire propane system and all of the appliances associated with it. This is a huge job and will take several days to accomplish. I will have to literally flush and clean everything with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to get the nasty oil out of it and return it all to working order. I asked YBG to send someone to speak to me about the issue and the next day, two people showed up. Before even speaking to me, they opened up my system on my side of things, not theirs (without my permission) and, I believe, began to come up with a plan to justify the entire problem as NOT being their fault but mine. With every ridiculous excuse they could come up with, I had a legitimate response showing them why that was B/S/ I do not think they realized at first that I had previously owned an RV repair business and knew what I was talking about. The only portion of their complaint that had any shred of legitimacy to it was that they did not like the way a hose was being used (nothing to do with adding to the oil problem any more the way it was being used versus the way they wanted to use it), but I told them I would order a new hose so that it would be in compliance to the way they wanted it to be used. That hose was ordered that very evening. The service man was not at all accommodating until I told him all I really wanted was a new tank. The one that I had was date stamped some 21 years prior and it is absolutely ridiculous to think that it would not have accumulated a tremendous amount of oil in it by now. He finally said that they could probably have a new tank delivered the following day. After two days passed and no new tank, we finally called and spoke to David the owner of Yavapai Bottle Gas. David was immediately back on the blame game of why it was all our fault and not his without even so much as a hint of swapping out tanks. We have ordered another tank from a competitor and there is no way in the world we would ever recommend Yavapai Bottle Gas to anyone again. UPDATE: Now YVB chooses to try and skew the truth in this review by responding below. The hose he mentions was supplied by YVB, there is NO tampering AND they could have kept a customer by simply swapping out their contaminated bottle with a clean one. as noted above, the old bottle is date stamped 1999. For God's sake why would any reputable business owner not take advantage of an offer to keep a customer and not lose even one penny in the process? We would have eaten the cost of all of the wasted fuel. It boggles the mind. The system has been inoperable for a couple of weeks now, they know that. The gas has been turned off for the entire time, they know that. The new parts and cleaning solution has been ordered and the parts are slowly being delivered. We have a new gas supplier, they know that as well. All that is left is for them to come get their bottle off of the property and allow their competition to reap the benefits of good business sense.

When you tamper with our equipment and hook up to the high pressure side of our tank and run tank pressure to equipment not designed for those pressure you risk causing a fire or explosion. You were told this over the phone and continue to ignore that advice. I suggest you turn the tank off again before you cause a bigger problem.
