My daughter is a student at Drake University and we live in Nevada. She needed a pretty serious repair and took it here because it was convenient. They seemed to do a good job at a fair price. The real reason I want to rave about them is she's had a couple of minor needs since that time that we could have easily fixed for her if she were home. The shop fixed them at no charge and treated her kindly and with respect. They could have charged her almost anything they wanted to but did not. It seems rare to find integrity in any business these days so I really wanted to take some time to praise this business! You've earned our repeat business and loyalty. We'll tell everyone we know!

Full disclosure: Mark, the owner, is a lifelong friend. I feel fortunate to have Mark and his team as mechanics. They won't lie to you, won't rip you off, and will do quality work. Getting in for a quick service can be a challenge. They can get extremely busy. It's best to call ahead. But I won't go anywhere else for auto care.

My car was due for a 60k mileage tune up-- the dealership had quoted me more than $2000 to do a bunch of work that sounded weird and unnecessary. Instead I took my car to Johnson & Sons-- they changed my oil, changed out a filter, did some other important stuff (clearly I'm not mechanically inclined) and charged me about $200.
