Dr. Bateman was recommended to me by two separate physicians and from my very first appointment with him and his staff I knew I had made the right decision to have my reconstructive surgery with him. From his surgical expertise to his personal phone call to me the day after my procedure, I have been in the best of hands. I have been taken care of with compassion, skill and all of my questions have been answered throughout my recovery. When you walk into the office you are greeted with staff who genuinely care about you and the care that you will receive from them. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

Short story for why Dr Bateman and his crew are the best:
Found out I had BRCA1, while trying to make a tough decision of getting a preventative mastectomy or just testing for cancers every 6 months I went to a different Dr who said I would only be able to do one type of surgery, that I wouldnt get to keep my nipples and that was that as if there was no other way.
Then I found Dr Bateman for a second opinion and when told this info, his response was why the hell not? Lol. Not only did I have the mastectomy, but Ive now finished my second stage reconstruction keeping my own nipples. Dr Bateman and his whole staff were so kind, informative and helpful the whole way through! Making tough decisions to prolong your life and be healthy can be scary, but luckily I found a doctor who listened to me, gave me options and gave me some beautiful new foobies! My self esteem remained intact due to his intelligence and talent! Thanks guys!
Now that Im all done, I wanted to add that theyre beautiful and perfect! After my stage 2 reconstruction they look absolutely natural and real!!! Also, I wanted to add that I can still call with any questions and they quickly and kindly respond. Also, Dr Bateman at my final surgery, was right by my side before I fell asleep, telling me Im going to be happy with my results and sweetly telling me everything will be okay.sorry, but I just cant say enough about this team!!

Unwilling to work with insurance to provide procedure covered as medically necessary gender affirming care, even though they are in network and I have a letter from my insurance company listing it as a procedure they will cover.

Unfortunately I did not get anywhere close to the results I had hoped for with my surgery with Dr. Bateman. I will be having another surgery with another doctor as soon as I can. Until then, I just have to live with it.

Dr Bateman is the most wonderful person I have had the chance to meet within the plastic surgery field. He is confidently subtle in his confidence with the proposed surgery and the alternate outcomes. I would trust Dr Bateman with my life and am so so so grateful I was able to be a patient of his.
