I am fortunate I very quickly decided to not contract with this company! We called for a really rough quote on a simple patio. I'm an engineer so I was very meticulous to give all of the dimensions and explanations in order to give them a picture of what we were looking for. We have had several people in our home to give us bids and they all have merely walked outside, took out a tape measure and re-measured the same dimensions that were originally given. I then am handed a quote and my time is wasted as is the contractor's time should I decide not to contract with them. Pardon the side rant, but back to Alltypes Concrete & Construction. After we were informed that he would have to come out to see the "rectangle" I wanted quoted, he was informed that we were merely looking for a very rough estimate and not an exact quote. So the guy on the other end chimed in with "$6,600.00" for a small plain concrete patio and an added "does that help?" with a side of sarcasm. Seriously? I think it's fair to mention that the quote given was double that of several of his competitors (all BBB accredited) and he made no effort to hide that he was trying to get us to "go away". No such luck, friend. I'll spend some of my time making sure people are aware of how we were treated. Me and about 6 other co-workers are installing patios or having concrete work done--I'll be sure to let them know about the standard for professionalism at Alltypes Concrete & Construction.
