Gables CC has NO program for cleanliness, maintenance and overall upkeep to the property.

Loved living here 3 years ago. Actually bought a house, sold it, and moved back here. Units are more beat up and you can tell in our bathroom there was flooding at some point because the base boards are messed up. The amenities are nice but certain things don't work and haven't for the last year. The water smells SO bad. Makes our dishes smell as well. We had some flooding in our unit and they told us memorial day weekend and didn't give us any updates the following week. WE had to call to find out what was going on with our unit. The pool is getting re-tiled so it can't be used. Main reason we went with this place is because it has a bigger pool. Paying way too much for this place. Would break lease if we could, but moving out in August.

Pros: Management is easy to communicate with and usually very friendly. The maintenance team does a great job on individual work orders. They are quick and efficient, and the amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, etc.) are always functioning and clean. Shout out to Jonah for being a superstar concierge!
Cons: With the amount of money that we pay to live here, you'd think they could keep the elevator, garage door, and coffee machine working. If an elevator breaks, get ready for a trek to find one in service. The key release system is also lacking. It's not uncommon that they can't find your key when pet/house sitters arrive, so don't count on that if you go away or work during the day. I'd probably give 3.5 stars if Google let me.
Edit (in response to the owner): I live here, meaning you have my phone number and email and can reach out. Do your homework. Currently (1/18/23), the 8th floor trash room light has been dead for weeks, and it would be nice to get a replacement so we aren't looking for the trash shoot in pitch black. Also, I'm still missing a smoke detector. Thanks.
Update as of 6/20/23: The pool has been closed for over 2 weeks. The call box hasnt worked in MONTHS, so when the doors lock at night, there is no way to buzz someone in unless you go downstairs. The leasing office staff just up and quit. Maintenance is overwhelmed, and its not their fault. Nothing gets fixed. The wall outside my apartment has looked like the picture for weeks. I could go on and on. This place is going downhill quick. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Its not worth the money anymore. Id break my lease if I could.

Lived here for 9 months. Pros: residents are great and apartments are well designed.
Cons: I rented an on site storage closet prior to move in. On move-in, storage closet was not available and manager said Id have to leave everything in my living room over the weekend until they could find one. During sales tour, did not tell me that spin consoles and streaming tv in workout area didnt work and never would. Outdoor lighting fixtures propped up with rocks for the 9 months I was there. Lost 2 packages for 2 weeks. Never apologized.
Their standard reply is lets get together so we can make this right for you but they never do anything about the complaint. Just excuses.
One thing they are really great at is reminding you multiple times when your rent is due. Very irritating to say the least.

Pros:
Unit is great few issues weve had in the unit have been fixed relatively quickly.
Cons:
Amenities have been constantly broken, the big test kitchen amenity has been broken for months with no updates. They decided to retile the pool closing it for almost a full month in the middle of the summer and gave us a single days notice. This place isnt cheap and a big reason we chose it over others was the amenities that we assumed would be available on all but the rarest occasion and that hasnt been true.
