DeBary Country Club

DeBary is simply beautiful excellence. The area around the club house, the pool, the golf course, All are beautiful. The food, the staff and the folks I've met there are all excellent. Beautiful, Excellence.

This was the second visit to this course and it was a bad experience. I reserved a 7:40 tee time with a party of three. We arrived and checked in with the starter who paired us with a nice man and his two young children. I was apprehensive about the pace of play, but gave it a chance. It took us 10 minutes to finish the first hole. Yes, the children were playing.This was the average time until the ninth hole when they had to leave. My friends and I continued on to the 10th hole where we were contacted by the course ranger. He arrogantly told us to pick up our pace because the group ahead was two holes ahead, and we were slowing down things. This didn't settle well with me, and I politely advised him that they should not have paired us with a man and his two elementary aged children if the concern for the pace of play was a factor. My enjoyable round of golf was ruined, and my $75 fee to play golf will be spent elsewhere from now on. A big thanks to the older gentlemen with the arrogant attitude.
