In 42 years as a pawnbroker, I have NEVER had a complaint about a box tab being torn affecting the value of anything.There is no proof we "damaged" the corner tab of your box. By your own admission, you were not present when the game system in the box in question was presented. Who knows who tore the tab on the corner of your box, including the person bringing the item to Gold Mine Pawn Shop. The torn corner of a thin packaging box of a game system does not affect the value of the contents. We go at great lengths to protect any items pawned with us and 42 years in the pawn industry should speak for itself. Although we are sympathetic to your concerns, we will not take responsibility for something we did not do.
