Last hospital I was in was grand iew. This hospital was a order of magnitude better. Intake, nurses, doctors excellent

Let me start by saying the nurses and doctor were great, compassionate, and professional. However, the experience on 4/7/24 @ approx 16:00, with the front desk/check in clerk was ridiculous. She was rude and not self aware of her attitude, lack of professionalism, character, and attitude. I asked for a wheelchair she irritably pointed to them. She needed a form completed and just slapped it on the counter. Not one time did she say hello and barely looked away from her computer until I advised her she was less than pleasurable to deal with. I would mention names but I like to go about things in a tactful manner, thus the reason I have called quality assurance twice and Im still waiting on a return call. But if youre reading this, understand that although you (desk clerk) might not want to be at work, I can assure you that the sick people, the people in pain, the people caring for parents and/or children and have to go to ER does not want to be their either. Take time to be present and to treat all people with kindness and sympathy and for Gods sake, try to help them instead of being robotic and showing your disdain through your customer service skills. Invest in some emotional intelligence classes because no one wants to deal with nasty attitudes when they are already dealing with the curve balls in life. This was an experience that was the absolute worst of any healthcare facility I have ever stepped foot in. Cullman Regional do better with the people you have at the front desk. Peoples lives are in your hands literally, and that is unacceptable. QA, Im still waiting on that return call so we may chat in detail.

Wouldnt correct prescriptions they wrote wrong by leaving off date and signature even after I returned to emergency room and request they do so. Excuse oh that dr isnt on duty and the on duty dr would not do anything. Like nobody has a PHONE. No help on that point which negates the reason for going to the emergency room to start with.
