Loved Stein Mart! I hate to see all the stores close. Online has its benegits, but there is no substitute for perusing the store for beautiful clothing, home goods and jewelry.

If I could give them negative stars, I would! I purchased a quilt from them. Obviously I was not going to open the quilt in front of them, but I loved it from the print I could see. When I got home, I saw that it was ripped from the corner, very badly. As well as it looked like someone has very badly sowed two pieces of cloth together, folded it and sold it. I paid $60, so naturally, I called them to let them know that the merchandise is extremely damaged and I would be coming back to return it. I spoke to a Mr. Mark, who identified himself as the manager. He was extremely rude and said it is my fault that I bought the quilt without opening it in the shop. I'm sorry, firstly his tone was extremely rude, secondly, to say that to a customer--I guess they have no shame in losing customers (no wonder they are closing down). I understand people will WANT TO go there because its closing down and may think they'll find something good, BUT DO NOT GO THERE. They are rude and sell damaged merchandise at a high price. No matter how nicely you talk to them and let them know of the damage, they will tell you its your fault and put the phone down on you.
