Lonnie and Jamie were such professionals; they really took the stress off the move. Very well mannered, approachable, talked and laughed as well as worked with clarity and certainty. Definitely handled all items with care, even the small things. HIGH RECOMMEND THESE TWO! THANK YOU!

Do not use.
Damaged Hunt Housing Property and proceeded to say the damage was there before. Gave documentation showing that the floor that was damaged during moving day was actually replaced a month before I even moved in so damage occurred after this. Changed their story to say I damaged it after. Again, I submitted property damage document within the 7 days I was given for it to be valid. They did not read the print at the bottom nor cared that I followed the directions. Flip flopping their story, not taking responsibility, and shifting blame instead of just "doing better." Zero integrity. All emails towards me regarding their owner was very unpleasant and attempted to bait me into a childish argument. All documentation was saved so when I move out, I'm handing it over to housing authority so they can proceed with legal action regarding the damage.
Moving staff was less than pleasant. Addressed my wife in an unprofessional manner, complaining about how difficult their job is and how hot it is. Attempted to guilt trip me into feeding them because they didn't bring their own lunch. Laid a king size mattress on my 65" TV when the box was clearly labeled, "Do not place flat." Multiple items were broken or just missing. Already have a DPS case filed with the TSP.
Owner is known to personally attack people on Columbus FB pages all while deflecting criticism of his company instead of internalizing it, all while employing childish behavior to bring you down to their level of argument.
Most replies to reviews on here again are deflecting without regard for internalizing criticism or accusing people of "being a bot," or "only complaining."
Contacted my Congressman and had a good chat with the staff and they feel the issue needs to be taken more seriously and that property damage should eventually be handled between the government and the company and not just limited to the civil level.
Move occurred 4 months ago, original review would not post, finally got around to writing my experience on here. Again do not use, if your military, get with your TSP and implore them not to use this company, or Suddath for that manner.
Also, before you reply, no I am not a bot, no you will not find me in your system as I do not use my real name on here, and yes this is nothing more than a complaint regarding your company and no I will not take it down.

Please dont use them. Lost/stolen items. They deny claims. Valuable items are damaged. Read the reviews. Not a reputable company. You can tell by the review below what kind of people the are. They dont care about customers. Under husbands name!!! Their excuse is always we dont have a move under that name!

Do not use McConnell Brothers for your move. Im a military member who had them contracted for me for my non-temporary storage (NTS). The movers themselves were nice and did an okay job. They used paper stickers that are nearly impossible to remove from hard surfaces and, when my wife called and asked if they had advice for removing them, she was laughed at on the phone. When we received our items at our destination, 41 items were missing including a 65 TV, dresser, antique cabinet, antique coffee table (family heirloom), 2 oversized chairs, 2 dining room table chairs, several boxes of books (including our wedding album), all my military challenge coins, so many kids toys, etc. The list goes on and on. I was understandably upset and after they looked in the warehouse, they said they could not find it. Not happy with that answer, I asked if I could come look. My wife was crying while I was on the phone, made a comment to the lady about losing our stuff to which the customer service expert replied: She aint gonna talk to me like that. It only got worse from there. I filed a formal complaint and they were written-up.
I made a similar review on a facebook page where, dozens of local residents shared similar stories from McConnell Brothers losing their items and horrible customer service. The OWNER of the company proceeded to blast anyone with a negative opinion of their business, giving his bad reputation an even worse look. I am currently in the claims process trying to get reimbursed for them losing over 500 pounds of my property.
Im sure the owner will try and respond to this and salvage any reputation but, please, do me a favor, use another mover. After the claims process, I fully intend on contacting my local congressman and senator, the congressman and senator representing Columbus, MS., the Inspector Generals office, and whoever else I need to. My hope is to ensure they never receive another government contract.
