Playing here probably the most inefficient and boring ways to play golf in the entire Spokane / CDA area. Why?
1. Everything is vastly overpriced: A 16oz plastic coke is $5. Greens fees were $160 (early season discount). A Caddie is required, so you probably should tip him, $30+.
2. Slowest pace of play I've ever experienced. I had a 12 noon tee time. The course had a frost delay in the morning. However, I was driving away from the course at 7:00 pm. They have caddies and ranger driving around to keep pace of play on track. However, this does absolutely nothing. The ranger will drive up and make a dumb dad joke and claim he's speeding things up, but it's all a show. It's just a display of customer service and friendliness. How should they fix this? It's obvious, less tee times.
3. You can't walk the course
4. Caddies are required - Dont get me wrong, the guy was fun to hang out with. But completely unnecessary. It didnt speed up the pace of play and we had carts.
5. The course design itself is nothing special. There are a few "fun" holes: floating green and a few of the other par 3's. Otherwise, its almost a Links style course. It's truly nothing special. The floating green is actually pretty dumb and inefficient itself: Why not just build a walkway/bridge instead of making golfers get on a slow tugboat.
