I know it's not the best neighborhood. But if you're spending your money you should have access to what you're buying. You don't have access to anything.🤬

This store is very unprofessional. I stay in oak park/Berwyn and I was visiting a cousin who stays near this establishment. We decided to go to the corner store for snacks before we decided to go out Friday April 15. Upon purchasing I asked the female employee if they accepted debit cards because I don't carry cash. I was told yes but there's a $0.70 charge per transaction. I got in like intending to purchase my items my total was 7.70 the debit card machine was saying pending. I was in line for twenty minutes the employee was stating she couldn't ring another customer up because my transaction was still pending. She then insisted I stay to see if thepurchase would process. I left the store and one customer told me to come back she was able to ring customers up again. I went in the store and assured my card wouldn't be charged not having cash and still wanting to purchase items I used the the ATM machine in the store which I was charged $2.75 from the store and $2.50 from Chase. While still in the store I received a notification that my transaction from Jordan's liquor for $7.70 went through and was debited from my card. I then showed the employee my chase account and transactions and she told my it would go back on my card and of it didn't to leave my name and number and the store manager would issue a refund. Since I stay in oak park it would be a hassle to come to the store for a $7.00 refund but I stated my cousin stays in the area so I would be back. I come today Thursday April 21st and the store manager is in there figuring it would be easy to get my merchandise or a refund since I had the receipt as well as my chase account I showed him he immediately shot me down and said not his problem contact chase. Since Im studying to be an accountant I understand how this works if money was debiting from a store and you have proof of the transaction the store is suppose to issue a refund. I even tried to compromise although the customer should always be right and asked just for the merchandise. He told me to call chase their problem he would be out of money. I called chase filed a dispute and received my money with no problem. However the owner shows terrible customer service and us very rude. Because it is a neighborhood establishment I'm pretty sure customers will continue to go however when I visit I won't.
