Robert Burchell

Great place. An interior designer highly recommended Burchell Upholstery 20 years ago. I've used them for all my upholstery work and calling them next week to repair my coach that's sagging. They do it all and it's always been a beautiful outcome...and their prices are great!

I had two pieces reupholstered and they turned out great! Beth was super easy to work with and very responsive to my inquiry and emails. She coordinated a quick pick up of the pieces that were being moved from a friend's home on a tight deadline. I snapped a few of photos and sent dimensions and was able to get a quote. They will work with your budget and also allow you to bring in your own fabric. The communication with Robert was great too and my pieces were done within a few weeks. I had ordered fabric and once I dropped off the turnaround time was very fast. The attention to detail and work is excellent. In addition, supporting a local, minority owed business with 20years plus experience, and a low carbon footprint is wonderful. I highly recommend.

We were reupholstering sofa cushions and throw pillows for a summer house jointly owned by a big family. I felt a lot of responsibility to find a good place that didn't charge an arm and a leg. I did some research and thought I'd give Burchell's a try. It's a hike to get there, as I live in Evanston, but boy was it worth it! We worked with Beth to find a fabric for our pillows that would provide a nice accent. She helped us find the perfect one that everyone loves. She kept us informed as to the progress of the project. The items were ready in a reasonable time and looked amazing. We hauled them up to Northern Wisconsin and put them in place and the sofa is fabulous! The workmanship was excellent and the response from family when I sent pictures was "Beautiful!!" Needless to say we will bring future projects to Burchell's!  Paula B.

Love my new chairs--went from an outdated chair to a clean and modern one. And completed within a week time. Love supporting local, neighborhood businesses.
