Good event management companies are hard to find, but it seemed like a great option to explore when we began planning our upcoming holiday party for 2015. There are several to choose from in Chicago and when I began my search, On The Scene was one of the first I came across. First thing I noticed is that they didn't have any reviews, which could be for many possible reasons, but that concerned me. I sent an initial inquiry email from their website and then began discussing a few details back and forth with one of their representatives. She suggested we schedule a phone call to discuss ideas the following week...okay great, we're getting somewhere! Except the following week she called to tell me that our budget for 250+ people is too small for them to work with. If this were my first time around the block I may have believed her, but if another event company can quote a casino-themed holiday party with food and beverage that IS within our budget (to be held at the Sears Tower), then I highly doubt that On The Scene couldn't come up with any ideas "within our budget". From their website pictures I do not doubt they can put together a lovely reception, but I question their corporate event experience with large companies Downtown Chicago.
