Best vet for sure!! It was my puppy's first vet visit, and he was scared and nervous.. The vet tech came in and sat on the floor with him and made him feel at ease.. Everything was explained and priced up front. After the visit, they followed up to make sure he was doing well..

We took our puppy in to the vet for the first time. He was extremely loud as he was terrified and the staff was amazing with him. I am sure he wanted to go home with the vet tech as she was the absolute best with him. We will be returning for sure!

Ive been hesitant to say anything but now i believe its time to say something so you can ask questions before as communication is lacking here. I will say they are nice but communication needs work. My dogs are small breed dogs. When I got my second puppy I asked to be put on the wait list when she was three months for a spay as my first dog I did the same and they got her in right at 6 months on the dot. Both my dogs are the same breed and I noticed my first was getting snippy right before she hits 6 months. So I knew my second more than likely would do the same. They said they dont do spays until 6 months which I understand, but dogs start their heats as little as 6 months. But I thought they would be able to get at least an appointment date set prior so I could have that appointment that week for her. I called frequently checking if they had dates yet. Always no. They eventually told me a few weeks before she turned 6 months, that the surgeon doesnt let them know until the week of because hes retired and when his wife allows him to perform surgeries. this was a few weeks before she turned 6 months. It would have been nice to know this info when I first asked about the wait list so i could have planned to look elsewhere ahead of time, if I wasnt getting a set date yet the closer it got to 6 months. Which I ended up doing but they only had openings 3 weeks past her 6 months. if I would have known, I could have had a date right when she turned 6 months. Now my pup came into heat a week before her scheduled spay at another vet. Jackson Hwy did call after she turned 6 months and said they had an opening but I already set up with another vet and had her pre-anesthesia done with them. Still that date was too late and if I would have known all this info sooner I would have gotten her in on her 6 month week At another vet and she wouldnt have gone into heat. So if you need a spay here, be cautious as you cant really plan here you just cross your fingers and hope the wife releases the surgeon close to the time you need. Another issue I had was during her 2nd round of vaccines, the tech never explained what she was getting and I assumed it was what she got the first time. Nope, they added a vaccine that my pup was not supposed to have and I would have told them not to do that one if they would have communicated. she had a reaction that night, bloodshot eyes, drooling, listless, running a fever and now has a nerve thing on her back end where they gave it to her where she yelps periodically and runs off and hides.

This vet clinic is very cute on the outside with plenty of close parking and a convenient location for Napavine/Chehalis + surrounding areas. The lobby and rooms are clean. The front desk staff/phone staff have been kind and helpful every experience. I originally scheduled my kitten for a new pet appointment and had a weird experience where they didn't do a full exam + rabies shot, I think that was Dr. Pham, where they basically just did the shot and I felt like they didn't notice that we were there for first time either to introduce themselves or look at my kitten. But soon after I got a call and they asked me to come back in for another full exam with Dr. Amanda and apologized for the first encounter and wanted to make sure things were right. It was uncomfortable when the same technician from the first exam came into room straight away and confronted me, asking what she did wrong last time. Dr. Amanda came in after that , and introduced herself as the owner. She was really sweet and you can tell she really cares about animals and was very personable and professional. She did a full exam-checked my kitten's ears/eyes/heartbeat, felt his abdomen and checked his incoming adult teeth as well. I felt that she was very thorough and I appreciated her and their team reaching out to offer that follow up appointment to smooth things over. She also talked about food, excercise + play, plus tips on teething toys and we went home with some flea treatment as well. I recommend this vet clinic for anyone looking for a good local vet, and specifically recommend Dr. Amanda. Also thank you to the front desk gal who helped get some dewormer medication for us on the weekend too! Great front desk customer service.
