ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Long story short, she did nothing, took the $2,000 and ran with it. This was summer 2017, it is summer 2018 and we have heard absolutely nothing from her. $2,000 is a lot for my family. Please people save your money and DO NOT for whatever reason hire her.

I would recommend everyone stay away from Christi. We hired her to do our daughter's adoption. She moved offices multiple times and changed phone numbers all without telling her clients. She went long periods of time with no communication to us. Would not return calls or emails-we thought she skipped town. She lost paperwork and made multiple mistakes on the paperwork she filed which caused major delays in the process. Do your research-google her practice-there are multiple families where she took thier money and never finished the adoption.

I made the mistake of taking a job offer with this solo practitioner. From the onset of hire she made misrepresentations about her "office" and her "practice." Turns out, she had no office, no practice and even had been barred by the NC Bar from practicing due to misappropriation of client trust accounts! Then, she had me work on her client files and failed to pay me for the time I worked! She third partied a client's check to me as payroll and then failed to sign the ratification form required by the bank and has made allegations that I committed fraud with her accounts. She is truly a liar and bad person whom has burned the last 4 paralegals and legal assistants who worked for her out of wages and lied about the circumstances surrounding their departure and how each has wronged her. I am filing suit against her and assisting her former clients in recouping their losses as a result of her theft of their money, fraudulent misrepresentations, malpractice and negligence. Truth be told, in my 20 years of working as a Paralegal, I've never encountered an attorney more deserving of bar censure and having her license to practice revoked. Do not waste your money and if you have been injured by her representation, I encourage you to file a complaint / grievance claim with the NC or SC State Bar. No one deserves to be used and taken advantage of by someone who is supposed to possess sound ethics and knowledge of the law. Please do your homework and protect Yourself from falling victim to her depraved ways.

If I could give a negative review, I most definitely would. Ms. Misocky was referred to us by a reputable family law firm in the Charlotte area because they did not handle adoptions. Having been given this referral, we had no reason to question her professionalism or ability to provide us with the services we needed. That was our first mistake. The adoption was supposed to be a simple “cut and dry”, non-contested adoption, requiring only the appropriate paperwork being submitted to the courts. We were told by Ms. Misocky that this would take no longer than 90 days. She had us wire half of the retainer fee ($1750.00) to her account, with the agreement to pay the balance after the adoption was finalized. However, after several months had passed and nothing had been submitted to the courts, we began to realize that we were receiving more excuses than service. Needless to say, this created needless stress, anxiety, and heartache for all involved. When we expressed our concerns and disappointment, she replied saying: “Apologies here just will not suffice. I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through, and the fact that my firm has had any part in exacerbating the stress just infuriates me. I want to make this right for y'all. First, just so that you are aware, we had a very challenging week last week because our website and email system was hacked, and everything was down. I had a problem employee who will no longer be a problem. Nevertheless, it is still unacceptable for you to be dealing with all this drama/ trauma, and it is my intent to find a quick resolution for you both.” Believing her apology and trusting her sincerity was our second mistake. After her seemingly “heartfelt” apology and promise to make things right, she then refused to answer any further emails or phone calls from us. She apparently has scammed us out of $1750 and we will be filing a formal complaint with the state Bar. With that being said, we can only hope that others will not make the same mistakes that we’ve made by attaining her legal services...or lack thereof.
