Hotel isn't bad. Greedy owners have surprise resort fee. This isn't a resort by any means. Even the coffee is very mediocre. It is supposedly for parking, luggage services, and late checkout. When I asked if late checkout was guaranteed, they said no and probably won't be available because they are so busy this week.

We had a very nice stay here. While the rooms could use updating, they were clean and safe and since we don't stay in our room much it perfectly suited our needs. We did not get housekeeping daily as others have stated, but I've found that is not uncommon at most hotels anymore. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of things to choose from. The front desk staff was super polite and helpful, and made sure that we knew which bus lines were free and would take us downtown. We would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed at this location for my childs surgery at MUSC, and staying there was worse than the fact she had to have surgery. First, we were put in a room with one bed, when we reserved one with 2 and a pullout, the rooms are disgusting, the view is knocked down buildings. Secondly, there is zero concern for guest safety, or accountability, as another family walked in while I was napping, because they were given keycards to my room. Third, if your toilet backs up (which ours did!) you'll be handed a plunger and left to deal with it yourself after making SEVERAL phone calls to the "manager", who refused to give me a corporate phone number and told me to "look up Choice Hotels yourself". Rooms: The rooms are disgusting, carpet coming up in most of the corners, and did not appear, or smell, as though they were cleaned. Safety: -manager double books rooms, allowing random strangers to walk in on you while you're sleeping! Thankfully I was in the room at the time.
