We only stay at Best Western hotels and we stay in a lot of them. We are always going somewhere. Today our travels took us to the Best Western in Laramie Wyoming. The location of the hotel was a little strange. It seems stuffed at the end of town, not really close to anything except a lot of semi traffic and road construction. It was after dark when we got to the hotel and the young lady who checked us in was not at all pleased to see us. She was sitting and visiting with a friend in the lobby and I think checking us in was an inconvenience for her. She wasn't very pleasant. I wasnt recognized as a diamond select member or offered a water or anything. Grumpy desk clerk aside, we grabbed all of our things and got all settled into our room. Our room, 2 queen beds, was clean and comfortable although I think it is worth mentioning that the connecting door was unlocked on our side... I am the paranoid type and I check those things. I'm wondering about the not paranoid type, would it have just been unlocked all night? Moving on... the beds were firm but comfortable. Almost like gel mattresses but not. The fixtures were comfortable and the TV was a very good size. There were also plenty of outlets. Yes, that has been a problem before. We had no trouble signing in to the internet at this time either. That was how our first night in Laramie went. The next morning bright and early, I went to see what was offered for breakfast. I found a fabulous coffee machine! Lattes and capuchino and French vanilla coffee! It was delicious! It made up for the fact that there was no fruit for breakfast. After spending the day out, when we got back to our room, the internet wasn't working. It kept asking for username which should be my last name and password which would be our room number... except it wasn't. Over and over. I called the front desk and was told to... change the case? What? Oh, yes... all lower or upper case letters and it should work. Um... nope. So, if the front desk is the place where authorization is given for the internet in the first place i.e. your last name and room number... can't they fix it? Like maybe my first name and room number? Something? Anything to make it work? She sounded like I'd asked her to solve some very complicated quantum physics problems. She finally settled on giving me the password for another wifi, which worked wonderfully. As it got later and we discussed our plans for the next day, we realized that we would need a late check-out so I again called the front desk... This is my last straw! I am a diamond select member and one of the perks to being a diamond select member is a LATE CHECK OUT! This young lady said her boss would not allow me to be here any later than 11:30 or he would be angry. Well, I'm angry. I don't feel like I was treated like a valued guest at any point in time during our stay and although I've worked very hard to obtain a top tier status, it was ignored at this hotel.

Overall we had a great experience. My bestie and I drove from WA to TX and this was one of our stays. Reasonably priced for 1 night and have a cat and large dog with us. The breakfast! They cooked my custom omelet in front of me and it was delicious!! All the staff were friendly. I was even able to get a post card from their little gift shop. My only complaint was a smell outside toward the back. But we were only there for a night so it didn't affect us much.

Thin walls, small hard beds, but it was clean, had a breakfast, and a pool... it was "ok"

Hi Ms. Carr, I am sorry to hear about your whole experience while your stay with us. I am not going to make all your comments taken very seriously. She our front desk should had done lot better job and we realize our fault. On other comments on Internet and late check out I will make some recommendation to our management to see what we can do and make it corrected for future guests. You as Diamnod Select member we recognized your importance to Best Western Hotels for your loyalty. I again will take full responsibility to learn from this and improve from our mistakes here. I hope you give us another chance to come back and stay with us again when you are back this way again. Please for anything else do reach out to me directly at hotel at 307 745 5700. Thank You and hope to see you again. Ketan C. Manager Best Western Laramie Inn and Suites.
