I have been a customer of WSB in Laramie for more than 10 years (since it first opened and was called Wyoming State Bank), and the staff and service are consistently amazing! I have a feeling not many people can say they love their bank, but I can!

After being a customer for 22 years we changed to someplace else because of how FNBO was treating the WSB employees and customers. I needed statements printed out and they wanted to charge me $10 per statement, even though they are the ones that took away my history of my e-banking account.

FNBO is not going to be WSB. They will remove the banks phone number and you will be routed to a central 3rd party phone center. It happened when they took over First National Bank of Fort Collins along with deposit being put in the wrong accounts and no way to call my branch. Today my debit card stopped working and I can't log into my account. What a surprise, when I went to the website and saw FBNO's logo under WSB. I called FNBO support and they don't even know about WSB. No help, just a voice somewhere in the world that doesn't care because it isn't they can't do anything. I can't wait until tomorrow morning to close my accounts.

We have dealt with this bank for over 16 years and have always been satisfied with the services provided. We've had two mortgages with them. The most recent was handled by Ms. Carolyn Mountain, Loveland office. To say she was incredible to work with would be an understatement. She's involved 100% with getting the loans approved and funded! If EVER you or a friend need banking services, most especially mortgage loan services, secure an appointment with Carolyn and leave all your worries at home. Yup. She's that good!

Used to love working with WSB until recently. We closed a small account with them because we were moving and were given cash. When went to went to deposit that cash at another bank (Wells Fargo) in our new state, we learned that 2 of three hundred dollar bills we were given were counterfeit. Those bills were seized and we lost 2/3 of our money. Our bigger issue was that Western States Bank (Loveland, CO branch) has been very unresponsive to our problem. While it is not fair, we understand that dishonest people (not us) might have switched good bills for bad ones as soon as they left the WSB branch. Still, you would have to be pretty dumb to try to deposit counterfeit bills into a bank. We asked Western States bank to reply to us with assurances that they will train their staff better to watch for counterfeit bills before putting them into their tills. According to the bank we tried to deposit at, the fake bills were very obvious. What customer would ever expect to be given counterfeit bills FROM THEIR BANK!?! We have been in touch with Western States twice now and neither time would the manager have any contact with us directly. It has now been 2 weeks since we asked for a letter from the bank outlining what precautions they will take to prevent this from happening to another customer in the future and we have heard.....nothing. That is all you need to know. Customers beware. ADDITION to this post in reply to WSB response: The line about the Branch Manager being able to reach you is misleading. No attempt was made until I posted this negative review. More important, nothing in your response addresses how you will prevent this from happening to another customer in the future. Clearly your practices need to be improved.
