Justin and his crew helped us build our dream shop. From breaking ground to teaching me the secret of opening our locked door..akalean on it because the weather strip was too new, they were competent, professional, and kind. Justin and his team are the best you will find, period. We got multiple estimates and did a lot of research prior to choosing them to finish our basement. The quality of their work exceeded our expectations many times over. All of his customers will tell you the same thing: His team is highly skilled in their craft, professional, courteous, and responsive. They listen to the customer, are flexible when they run into the inevitable complication, and find innovative solutions to give you the result youre looking for. The pictures speak for themselves! We found EJ Services to be unresponsive to the point of being disrespectful. We contacted them about building an in-law suite at our property. During our initial conversation, they said they would put together an estimate and, if we accepted it, they could begin work within 45-60 days. Two and a half months later, we still do not have even an estimate. We had to call repeatedly to get even basic information about where they stood with our project. Time and time again they put us off with some excuse or another, usually blaming a subcontractor for their incompetence. Finally, we sent an email asking they contact us to set up a phone call so we could get a better sense of what was going on and a more honest estimate of timeline. At that point, they stopped communicating with us entirely. Finally, we sent an email stating that, if we didn't hear anything from them in the next few days, we were done working with them. They didn't bother to email us even then. So, do yourself a favor, find a contractor with enough common decency to tell you to your face they can't do your project. You deserve that much at least. Set up an appointment for an estimate at the beginning of February to finish a bathroom and bedroom in my basement. Called to check the status 3 weeks later, and was told I should hear back in a week. After calling back at the end of the following week, I was told the estimate still wasnt ready and would hear back in a couple days. Still not hearing back from them, I called again and was told the estimate was locked out and they could not view it but it was done. Yet again I was told to try back later. I called 2 more time before receiving a text back saying that I would see something by the end of the day. After not receiving an estimate, I reached out again and was told they were too busy to send it to me. I understand lead times are 3-4 months before they could start, but didnt think it would take a month and a half to get an estimate and only if I kept reaching out. Cannot speak on quality of work, as I will be reaching out to someone else for this job. Apparently, others are satisfied because they obviously have more work than they can handle.
