This was our 2nd season floating 3 days on the North Platte River catching large Brown, Rainbow and Cutbow trout. Our guide Wes Richner, having been raised on this river knew this river like the back of his hand. He has fished in all seasons, in all conditions and during different water levels and so knew where those big trout would hold and knew what fly they would bite. He was an exceptional, informative guide with all sorts of historical facts about the area.

Lone Tree Boat Rental has their outfit dialed in! Wes was very professional, informative, and accommodating. Best outfitter I've found in a long time and won't hesitate to book something soon again. No need to worry about car shuttles and he got the boats cleaned out and ready for our floats the next day. Very pleased (and impressed) with the operation he has going on; he even let us come back in the evenings after our floats and wade fish his property (and that's when the "reel" fun began!). Wes dropped in and made sure we were good and even gave us some of his signature flies to try on the different sections we were fishing. Outstanding job, Lone Tree - you blew my expectations out of the water; just like those monster trout when we were hooked up!

Hands down the best guide and rental service on the North Platte. Wes and Ron run a first class operation with high quality boats and equipment. Most importantly just purely awesome people. Dont think twice, 5/5 all day!

We floated on very windy day, but Wes met us promptly and put our boat in river quickly. Didn't have cash to buy new state license and he footed that bill for us (he's a quick study and I'm sure has been set up for this issue w/out-of-state clients). Wes is young, strong, locally knowledgeable and will offer you tips for fishing in any type weather/season. We will be back to fish with him. He is the future of the guide/boat rental industry on the N Platte in Casper and we intend to fish with him again soon. Call Wes, he is extremely professional and fun to chat with.
