As a dedicated taphophile I make it a point to visit at least one cemetery in every state I visit. So while in Casper for the weekend I visited Highland. The grounds are very well kept with nice, wide roads for vehicles to travel down. There was an eclectic mix of old and new graves with some really beautiful headstones. Theres a large section for children with a large zebra statue marking the area which was unexpected and whimsical. While there exploring I encountered a baby antelope in the park, enjoying the fresh green grass. Overall this cemetery is beautiful. There are tree stump markers, a fallen dove, several pioneer area baby markers. Plenty of new markers as well, some extremely intricate and unique. There was one specifically that has mountains carved into it with a laser etching of the couple their fb and their dogs. I have never seen anything quite so detailed and I visit cemeteries all over the country. This was one of the most unique and beautiful memorial gardens that I have insured and the baby antelope really made the visit so special. If you enjoy history and the serenity of cemeteries I do suggest that you visit Highland.

I have been visiting the cemetery for a little over two years and improvements have been made. I also enjoy watching the small herd of antelope and two sets of beautiful owls that have taken up residency there.

I went to visit my grandparents grave and there was a wizard in there with a beer and a alien mask. He tried to cast a spell on me.
