Dr Chris Meyers is one of the best oral surgeons I have ever been to for tooth extractions. He does a great, almost painless job when I had 2 teeth pulled. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing extractions.

The Dr was attentive, listened carefully- gave -to the point- answers had a welcoming atmosphere & nurse who worked efficiently with the Dr to produce results in a streamlined procedure & still was aware when i became extra sensitive. At that time, Dr recommended the aid of some numbing gel & applied it which quickly allowed me to finish comfortably. Way less stressful than I anticipated!

The dentist is great, love her. The billing practices of Advanced Dental Specialist leaves much to be desired. I would suggest having them check the exact amount of your care prior to going. Otherwise, you may spend months trying to get your money back after being overcharged or end up with a big bill you didn't expect. I've been very patient with them but now I've had it. I recently had Periodontal treatment which involved the application of Antibiotics to my gums. The total cost was not disclosed to me prior to the procedure. At the end of the appointment they collected $189.80 from me with no discussion about the total cost or that there may be more due after the claim was submitted. It turns out my portion after my payment and Delta's payment of $85.50 is $667.20. This still seems off and I don't trust them anymore to get it right. I think that it is a very bad practice for them not to disclose to patients in advance of treatment what the cost is, or at least provide some type of estimate of the cost. That way a patient can make a decision on whether or not they wish to proceed along with considering the benefits of the treatment etc. It's not like you can return the treatment if you don't like it. I don't have $700 dollars to just shell out like it's nothing. This provider still owes me money from procedures I had early last year under a previous carrier, approx. $57. It took me months to get back the other $456 they owed me. I had several appointments at their Franklin WI location over the course of 2 or 3 months and observed numerous patients coming in complaining about this very thing. Or, being overcharged by them. (esp. older patients) I wont be going back to them. My teeth can fall out of my mouth before I go back there. I'm enraged to get a $700 bill out of the clear blue sky. Most providers are at least honest about cost and don't use the fact that a patient didn't drill them on the cost of a procedure as a reason for not using best practices around disclosure. I'm sure I'll get a million excuses around why they don't or didn't do it. They are in this business and I suspect they have a pretty good idea what carriers will pay. They need to stop the practice taking advantage of patients. I'm mad as hell that I didn't have an idea in advance of the treatment that I'd have a $700 bill. I'd venture a guess most people would be. From now on I'm getting a breakdown of exact cost of care, no estimates allowed. Future providers will have to get me that before they put a finger in my mouth.
