    Absolutely awful customer service! I would definitely not recommend Betsy to anybody. After 2 months of her screwing up my policy and racking up a hundred dollars in overage fees from my bank I had finally had enough! She kept trying to pull over a hundred out for a policy that was supposed to be $46. This caused a $35 charge because of insufficient funds multiple times! Every time this happened I called to "resolve it" or so I thought... to top it all of I was told the overage fees that occurred were my fault. I'd recommend to stay as far from that place as possible, very dissatisfied

    I had insurance with CIS for over 10 years. I hesitate to speak poorly about a company, but I was truly sold a policy that was wholly inappropriate for the seasonal lake home I had. Buried in the 100 page policy was a requirement to inspect the house every 3 weeks, or the policy wasn't worth what was listed on the front page. Further, if it was uninhabited for 6 months, the policy was void. Again, it was a summer home...so no one was living there during the winter. All this information was known to my agent, whom I really like, but they didn't provide insurance that suited my needs, and when I lost absolutely everything to a broken washing machine hose, they refused to pay anything on the policy. I was supposed to read the entire policy, I guess. Beware!!! I lost absolutely everything including the whole house....and a lot of my retirement as well to rebuild. They failed to take any responsibility for not advising me of the actions I needed to take to utilize that policy. Buyer beware!!!
