Terrace View Campsites

A wonderful camp ground. Clean and sites are roomy. We visited in mid-October when the off season crowd made for a pleasantly quiet time. The lake was very nice but a bit too cold for swimming. We will definitely put this on our list for revisiting. Disappointed with the fall colors but that can’t be governed by the owners.

Secluded, nice, friendly owner. Woodsy setting. Only issue was the hook ups were on the wrong side but probably can't change that now. Not a major thing. We still got hooked up fine.

Very disappointed with our camping experience. My husband and I were registered as visitors to the campground, as we were not staying overnight. We went to the office to check in and she abruptly asked where our orange tags were. We stated that we just arrived and didn’t have them yet. She then stated that we weren’t listed as visitors, and said “I don’t know where you’re from or about your lifestyle.” She then mentioned her fears about Covid, and I explained that we are both vaccinated and I am a hospitalist nurse practitioner. She rudely said “that’s great, but I want to know if you got the booster.” I stated that the booster is not yet recommended, and she tried to give me a purple sheet of “Covid information” which I declined to take since I educate people on Covid for my career (with information from valid resources and not simply my opinion). She was trying to disseminate misinformation about Covid and was very argumentative when I didn’t take the sheet. I ended up becoming so frustrated that I walked away from her and she yelled “I am not done with you yet!” My brother-in-law ended up talking with her and, you guessed it, we were on the approved visitor list when she found the original paperwork. I wish that I could give zero stars instead of one. Not the relaxing vacation I had in mind.
