We contacted RKM about winterizing our irrigation system and they not only responded quickly - they also showed up a few days later to do the job! They did an excellent job answering our questions (as we just moved into our house that came with an irrigation system) and taking care of our needs and identifying any potential issues we may need to address this spring. Highly recommend.

Poor customer service and technicians lack expertise to diagnose the problem. RKM came out to our property in spring to turn on our system. They rebuilt two valves to fix a zone control issue during the initial service. Then, the first time I went to use the system, the zones weren't working properly again. RKM came back and rebuilt another two valves to "correct" the issue again. Again, the first time I tried to turn the system on after their second visit the zone controls didn't work properly again. After this visit they overbilled me $140 for full valve replacements instead of the valve rebuild work they actually did. This overbilling didn't come to my attention until the third visit when the tech indicated I didn't have any new valves. It took several follow-ups to the owner to get my money back. On their third visit to correct the issue they then indicated I instead needed new valves (to replace the ones they had just rebuilt). Never did they give me the option to replace the valves vs rebuilding them during the first two visits. Therefore, at the end of the day, the work I paid for on their first two visits (4 valve rebuilds) did nothing to solve the problem, and I now need to pay double to actually fix the problem. Have been dealing with another company for the past 4 years but when they told me that we "all of a sudden" had a leak in the system I decided to get a second opinion. Called Rick during the day and he returned call at 8:00 PM that evening. Had me take a picture of our main valve and send it to him. At that point he "walked me through" a couple of steps to re-engage full pressure to the system; something my long term provider had turned off during shut down before the winter but failed to turn back on when they got the system up and running this spring! Rick refused payment for the help even at such a late hour which was clearly the end of a long day for him. After saving us another pricey service call and a likely torn up yard I have nothing but great things to say about Rick and his "customer first" approach; especially since I was calling him for the first time! If you want a good man that will prioritize "you" and your project, give Rick a call.
