Brauer Construction

Hired Brauer Construction for a new home construction build in southern Door County in 2019-2020. Brauer construction was responsible for the excavation of the homesite, driveway, and with his friend who is a licensed plumber, the mound system. I had issues with Jason Brauer pretty much from day one. He dug the hole for the site and placed the soil piles right on the corners which didnt allow the concrete crew to maneuver their trucks close to the hole. He became irate when I mentioned he had to move the soil piles so they can do their work. He dug the hole 8 inches out of level which cost me over $2000 in extra footing concrete. The real kicker was the mound system that his company was responsible for installing. Jason used his plumber buddies license to pull the permit and then Jason himself installed the system. Jason Brauer is not a licensed plumber, he cannot in the state of Wisconsin install a mound system. He can help under the guidance of a licensed plumber, push dirt or gravel around, but he absolutely cannot legally perform any plumbing work. He did do it by himself and guess what, the system failed. And just like some of the issues I had with him at the start of the build, he blamed everyone and everything else instead of taking responsibility. I paid Brauer Construction over $15,000 for a system that was not installed by a licensed plumber, the system failed and Brauer Construction failed to answer a single phone call or email for months and months. I had to hire an attorney and unfortunately sue Brauer Construction. Only then did he respond. To his credit, he came out and fixed a brand new system but only after I spent thousands on attorney fees and material. The county has cited and fined Brauer Construction twice and the state has issued a fairly substantial fine as well to Brauer Construction. This can all be looked up.

Jason is a fair and hardworking man. He gets the job done right the first time. On time. He has helped me many times over the last 12 years or so. I will always hire him for any job, large or small.
