One of our favorite easy walking places for birding. Dogs not allowed, FYI. Parking: Adequate free parking, except on gorgeous weekends Restrooms: Portapotty during winter, flush toilets and running water during warmer months next to the parking lot and playground Dog-friendliness: Dogs not allowed on the 1 mile bridge

Perfect walking bridge over the Yahara, leading to trails, Osprey viewing area and a park! Can be in enjoyed any time of the day, just might need some bud spray sometimes! Park and viewing area less than 1/2 mile from bridge! Parking: Parking by bridge and on other side of train bridge Dog-friendliness: Leashed dogs are okay.

My home town. I remember before the walk bridge. It could have been built alittle more scenic.

Level path which is about 2 miles total out and back. In the first part of the hike we saw two Osprey nests on the top of some high voltage power poles. Also saw one Osprey fly overhead. Heard but did not see other birds. Did see several chipmunks.

Bikes are not the most courteous when crossing the bridge on foot. They should be walked across as bridge is not wide.
