    Monica was chosen as a counselor for my children by my ex in a high conflict co-parenting situation. She has been absolutely one-sided and toxic to the kids' mental health. She makes damaging assumptions, her communication is confusing, and she frequently contradicts herself. She also withheld information from me that could've helped my child and then shared it with my ex. My experience with Monica has been dismal and disappointing. I think it will take many years of good counseling from a qualified counselor to undo the damage that Monica Waldvogel has done.

    Took my child there for family counseling. Saw Alyssa and I have to say I have never met a therapist with such a strict cancellation policy. 3 cancels and you are out. 3 cancels for the entire time you are seeing her. This is not 3 last minute cancels, this is 3 cancellations period, no matter how far in advance you need to cancel an appointment. If you are seeing her for several years and only being allowed to cancel 3 times that is crazy. She can cancel her appointments with you no problem (even last minute) but she doesn't grant that same courtesy to her patients? I cancelled 48 hours in advance due to a conflict and that was 1 strike against me with her cancelation policy. I don't know any other therapist that does that. Especially if you are a disabled chronically ill person, you are going to need to cancel sometimes. It's a shame she has that policy.

    Not very helpful for people seeking help! I had called to inquire about my teenager being seen for some counseling. The original staff member was friendly and helpful. She took my information to complete the intake and informed me that after checking on my insurance they would call me in a few days to provide the intake paperwork. I advised her that we were requesting a female provider in the Weston location. I was informed that a female provider may not be available in Weston but was assured they had plenty of options for female providers at their Wausau location. I waited 1 week and never received a call back. I followed up with a phone call and spoke with another staff member. She couldn't find any of my original information I had already given and treated me like she didn't believe that I had called them. She took all of my insurance information AGAIN and indicated she would call the insurance that day and someone would follow-up with me. Later that day, I received a phone call that indicated everything had been verified by my insurance and the intake paperwork would be sent to me virtually. I was informed that upon completion of this paperwork, I needed to reach back out to them and an appointment would be scheduled. I completed the paperwork (which mind you was not just a simple signature and took me about 2 hours to complete) and called today inquiring about scheduling an appointment. I was asked AGAIN about my insurance and reminded that I had provided this, including uploading an insurance card as requested. She informed me that they were ready to schedule my child's appointment with a male provider. I reminded her that I had already indicated that my child wanted to be seen by a female and the first staff member had assured me that would be no problem. I was then put on hold for 15 minutes for her to check the providers' schedule. I was then told that there were no female providers in Weston or Wausau and that I would need to travel to Wisconsin Rapids! That is almost on hour away and completely unrealistic. I should have been informed right from the first contact that female providers were limited before having to jump through all of these hoops. I would have understood and looked elsewhere. I don't understand why just the opposite happened when they assured me that there were plenty of female providers available in Wausau. I am now back to square one and have wasted my time waiting on this agency. Very unprofessional!
