The Farm Restaurant

When scheduling a meet up with our friend James, he suggested meeting up at The Farm Family Restaurant for frozen custard. His parents had been taking he and his siblings to The Farm since they were kids, and he swore it was the best frozen custard he had ever had. So my husband and I agreed to a meet up at The Farm Family Restaurant. Originally, The Farm Family Restaurant was part of a chain of family restaurants called The Red Barn. After the leases for The Red Barn restaurants expired, many of restaurants shuttered their windows. However, the surviving restaurants changed their name to The Farm, and continued to serve the same menu as its predecessor, The Red Barn. Presently, the Racine, Wisconsin of The Farm is the only surviving restaurant in the United States. In 1991, Dale Ellingham purchased The Farm in Racine, Wisconsin. A few changes have been made to the menu to streamline it. Made to order sandwiches and fries are a staple, along with fried chicken. The pièce de résistance of The Farm is without a doubt the frozen custard. Fresh frozen custard is made daily, with an offering of six flavors plus a featured flavor of the week. After trying The Farm’s frozen custard, I completely agree with our friend James. It is definitely the best frozen custard ever!
