    Although not covered by my insurance, Midwest Dental has been such a refreshing experience compared to previous dental offices! Amanda is excellent with her patient care, and I have had some fairly extensive work with Dr. Rodriguez after Dr. Patel left, and it has been a very positive experience! My husband and my mother also go there and are pleased as well!

    DO NOT RECOMMEND - I called to verify they were in network for my insurance and I was told they were. When in network, my insurance covers 100% of preventative care and 80% of all other services. I had Xrays and a cleaning. The next appointment I had a couple fillings replaced, this cost was provided to be before treatment and full payment was made prior to receiving the fillings. 3 months following the appointment I get a bill for 315.20. The billing statement just has an amount owed and no explanation on what I am being billed for. I called and sent in a written request asking for an itemized bill and requested all future appointments cancelled until I could get a better understanding on what I was being billed for. 6 months after my appointment I receive another bill for 833.20 and a notice saying I was a no show for the appointment that I had cancelled months earlier. No explanation on why the initial bill increased so much, when no more services were provided. I would not step foot into that building again, not knowing what they are charging you for. After multiple request for an itemized bill I still have yet to receive one. Its a shame their billing department and their office staff are not helpful at all, as the dental hygienist and the dentist were both wonderful, and now I will need to start the search again for a new dentist since this company clearly does not processing billing correctly, and their refusal to provide an itemized bill has me feeling like they are not doing business as they should.

    They told me that they accepted my insurance, told me how much my appointment was going to be, and then billed me an additional $361 for services that I would have opted out of had I known. When I called they told me that they were out of network, and so the insurance has to adjust their coverage. If they can see that they are out of network and thereby know that their estimate is unreliable, why didn't they tell me that before they put cosmetic resin on the back of two of my teeth? After speaking to their billing department, I feel like I was intentionally misled. EDIT: I contacted them directly to discuss this before writing this review, and they were not even remotely helpful. The reply to this review is entirely disingenuous and they should be ashamed of their questionable business practices.

    The service received by the staff at Midwest Dental in Racine was exceptional. They were very friendly and professional. I took my special needs daughter to her dental appointment and observed the wonderful care given to her by Amanda and Dr. Rodriguez. They were very engaging and helpful when discussing my daughters dental needs. The smile on my daughters face was priceless when meeting Dr Rodriguez. What a wonderful addition to an already awesome dental practice. She is looking forward to her next appointment. Thank you Midwest Dental staff for making this such a positive experience.
