Highly recommend Tara! Tara has been working with us on training our new puppy since the week be brought him home. Shes extremely knowledgeable, and has been a huge help with his training. As an energetic pup, shes helped with basic obedience and customized training needs. We cant say enough great things about Tara and the positive impact shes had on us and our puppy!

Tara is kind and listens to your and your pup's needs. Together, you come up with a practical plan to address what's going on. We found it really helps to be in your own home because the dog is not stressed, and reacts normally to situations. If you're looking for someone to help with problem behavior or just learning how to train yourself with a new dog, I can't recommend Tara enough.

We absolutely loved working with Tara. She took the time to understand our family and tailor our training sessions to what we needed. I learned so much about dog behavior and how to train effectively with positive methods. We had done class-based dog training in the past, but working individually with Tara was so much better for us. The individual attention made all the difference. The money we spent on a few training sessions with our puppy will truly pay off for our dogs whole life. Plus, we had a lot of fun together. Thank you Tara!

Tara has been such a gift to us as we train our very young, very gigantic puppy. We really wanted to get this right, and she has made that so easy. Her calm and kind approach to lessons has made us better at this job, and has also made our dog love her. In just a few short lessons, we felt like we had all the basics down (sit, stay, wait, come, on, off, down, leave it, plus crate training and positive potty reinforcement) and we then scheduled lessons to target leash training (a night and day difference in one lesson) and positive social reinforcement while out in busy places (outside coffee shops, on busy streets, at parks or festivals, etc.). You get what you pay for, and with Tara, you get a whole new world with a super well trained dog and a lot of personal confidence to keep doing a great job as that dog's trainer. Because there's a strong method to her approach, I've been able to figure out how to train my dog to do things that we didn't work on, such as letting me wipe his paws when he comes inside, the command "house" to get him to come right in, and "hush" when I don't want him to bark at things. When we wanted to help our young kids (ages 5 & 6) better understand how to be responsible dog owners and help with his training, Tara jumped right in to work with our kids on how to give the dog commands and reinforce his good behavior. So she's pretty good at training kids, too. :) Also, Tara is just really cool and nice. I enjoy spending time with her, which is a huge bonus. One last thing I think is important to note: unfortunately, even in 2024, you just never know how someone is going to think about you or treat you when they realize yours is a queer (LGBTQ+) family. With Tara, it was not even a thing at all, she was just so kind and open immediately. I wish that wasn't notable, but it is and I'm grateful to her for that. Thank you, Tara!
