        I dont rate many chains, but this Jersey Mike's in particular consistently has some of the nicest people working here.

        I was at the Jersey Mike's on Capitol in Pewaukee at 7:25 PM on 3/25 and encountered disturbing hygiene practices. The subs were prepared on a dirty cutting board, and instead of using clean tools between subs, a visibly soiled rag was used for wiping it down. This same rag was also used to clean a bread knife that had been dipped in mayonnaise, which is a clear cross-contamination risk. The employees, although gloved, never changed these gloves after touching the cash register, undermining the whole point of wearing them. To make matters worse, another staff member used bare hands to handle food. Yuck. I strongly suggest a review and improvement of food handling and hygiene practices at this location or someone will get seriously ill.
