Love the Harbor Hill Inn!

Me and my SO stayed a couple nights in the Pepin room for a family wedding at the local winery. Not only was our stay comfy, clean, and quiet, but also very relaxing with the private balcony and sooo soft bed. If we ever find ourselves planning a getaway weekend in the area once more, I would definitely want to stay here again. Nearby activities: There are lovely restaurants and cafes within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Not to mention the hotel owner does boat tours a couple blocks away! Very easy walk to local places to eat and the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. Clean rooms. We stayed in the Pepin room and having the little private balcony with the view of Pepin lake was wonderful! Nice sun room for coffee, board games or reading. Very happy with our choice to stay here.

It was my wedding and and I wanted to find some place within easy driving distance of Minneapolis but yet quaint and charming. In other words special. And oh boy did I hit the home run. From the moment we arrived I just knew we were at the right place. We were greeted by our hosts Jan and Captain Rob and they were delightful. So attentive and caring. We made our way up to our room and were even more pleasantly surprised. My wife and I pride ourselves in our ability to decorate. Almost simultaneously we commented that who ever decorated our room had real talent. Of course later I learned why the room looked so good. Our hosts also happen to own the Harbor Hill General Store which is a very unique gift, home decor, retail store. Jan is the driving force of decor and is truly one of a kind. So engaging. In the morning as we enjoyed Captain Robs special coffee, filled with expectation we set out on our exploration and truly enjoyed ourselves. So much to see. With each stay at Harbor Hill Inn we discover something new to love! The main house has three guest rooms and each is unique. On our last visit we stayed in the carriage house which is perfect for couples or families with two bedrooms, living/dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen! All the rooms are nicely decorated, with high quality linens! The host Rob and Jan are gracious and love to give guests tips on things to do and see in Pepin! The location couldn't be more perfect, just steps from the center of town. We can't wait for our next visit to beautiful Lake Pepin and another exceptional stay at Harbor Hill Inn!!!
