Doctor isn't bad but they have absolutely NO IDEA how to send medications to a pharmacy. 4 months in a row now they have screwed up sending the wrong stuff or only one med. This causes my daughter to go without her meds that she needs as they only allow asking for refills right before she gets them. Be ready to have to babysit them.

I have been with ThedaCare my entire life. I had been seeing the same doctor at Encircle in Appleton for almost 20 years before I realized they were not the right fit for me. When I was searching for a new primary, I found Nichole Nelson, APNP. The moment I stepped into Nichole's office I knew I had made the right choice. Not only did she listen to my concerns, but she empathized with the medical trauma I had experienced with my previous provider. Nichole has never once made me feel like my concerns were invalid and for that I am forever grateful. Additionally, as a person in a larger/fat/obese body, I have never felt shamed by Nichole for this, something that cannot be said for all providers.

Id give zero stars if I could. They billed my insurance an annual wellness exam, a drug test because one of my meds is a controlled substance, as well as an outpatient visit for a single appointment. Totaling around $1200. Leaving my portion to pay over $500!!! They claim this is normal. This was a new patient visit to establish care with a new dr because my new insurance didnt cover my DR of almost 15 years. I ended up going back to my regular dr and decided to just pay out of pocket for med check visits. The visit with him cost me $200 out of pocket. The most Ive ever paid for an office visit out of pocket at ascension was $280 or so. $1200 for an office visit is downright asinine and unethical. Never again will I step foot in a theda clinic!!!!

This is the first year I have cared enough to investigate, but for the last 3 years they have been double billing me for my annual wellness exam (Annual Wellness is covered 100% by my insurance, but i get billed around $420 every year for my annual wellness). This year I was extra careful not to ask for anything else while talking to the doctor. So if you mention anything that you are already diagnosed with or even answer a screening question about something, BOOM office visit. Calling the office was no use either, they back pedal and tell you it's not their fault, but rather the insurance company's and insurance laws' fault. My insurance company says they coded things wrong. Now I have no choice but to appeal, report them for fraud, and never go back here as a patient again. Oh and it gets even better. Dr. Janusonis is also now threatening to cancel my Trulicity prescription (i have diabetes). So if you don't want your doctor to hold your medication over your head like you are some sort of puppet, I would steer clear of this place.

I saw Dr. Terry who is not my normal Dr for a bad sinus infection. He barely spend 5 minutes with me. I couldn't even ask him a question because before I knew it he was gone. I know for a fact he told me a specific instruction on my prednisone but then send the script in differently. The pharmacy tried calling twice to clarify but nothing, the Dr. Didn't have his notes in the computer the first time and the wait was so long the second time. I tried calling once on and was on hold for 35 min and I finally had to press the button for them to call me back because no one picked up. I couldn't get a dose in the first day just waiting. My Dr., Dr. Cynthia Fischer is awesome!! but this experience was a horrible customer service experience. Next time I will wait for my Dr. Or go to Urgent care. I gave 3 stars because although this experience was horrible my pcp Dr. Fischer the best pcp I ever had. She is knowledgeable, empathetic, and kind. I am very lucky to have her.
