Comfort Inn Onalaska - La Crosse Area

The Comfort Inn is a great place to stay if you are visiting the La Crosse area. Rooms are updated, clean, and quiet. Breakfast is included and the hotel staff is friendly.

Stay here! I dont get the low reviews and I read them prior to booking. Check-in and out staff was friendly, more than I can say about others within their group in the area. Entry area, pool, hallways and rooms were nice! Our room was perfect, and that includes the tub which had zero mold or nastiness. The pillows were squishy, bed a bit firm though I actually slept good. AC/Heater no issues. Right next to the interstate which seemed noisy laying in silence, but it was fine. Location is next to EVERYTHING, you can walk next door to dinner or across the street. Thanks for a great stay! :)

Diappointing stay. Stayed 2 nights in October while in the area visiting family. This was my 6th stay over 5 years but the most disappointing. Embedded mold around the tub at the walls, soap dish and around shower controls. The black mold had been caulked over (white), but could easily be seen thru the caulking. They offered to clean the tub, attempting to remove caulk but I told them that it could not be cleaned, had to be completely removed, cleaned, dried and recaulked and that would not be done that day. Also told them that this room should not have been rented/sold, it couldn't possibly pass an inspection. This is a maintenance issue, one that housekeeping should have recognized, reported and should have been attended to by the maintenance department but as I saw......he was not interested in that process. The general manager seems fairly new to the position and there seems to be a disconnect, lack of training and procedural processes that would have prevented such issues. This is my last visit here...... Will look elsewhere for accommodations. Such a shame as this is an excellent location and 'could' be a highly rated hotel.
