Just went in for an appointment about a half-hour ago. The woman at the desk said that before they could see me, there was a past balance of $60 combined due for my wife for 2 missed appointments (which was news to us; she says she never received the appointment texts they're claiming she confirmed, nor any calls, nor did she have anything in her calendar for the dates they're saying she was scheduled for), plus $30 upfront for today's appointment. Whatever, I didn't have it in me to dispute or press the issue, so I begrudgingly gave them the benefit of the doubt and just paid the $90 (plus 80 cents that popped up on the machine that they never mentioned, but whatever, I wasn't about to argue over 80 cents) and went back to be seen. Then the dentist starts talking about what I'll be charged for today's procedures, and I went, "... wait, what? No, I paid for that upfront at the desk." She asked them, they said no, just the past due. I got up out of the chair, went back up to the front desk, and asked them what they were talking about, and what that $90 was that I just paid. They then tell me that it was $60 PER MISSED APPOINTMENT, which is NOT what they said when I was paying it, nor did they say anything different when I was talking to my wife on the phone IN FRONT OF THEM saying she just owed $60, and that NONE OF IT went to today's appointment. (There also was apparently a $30 credit of some sort that was on our account that went toward it, hence $90 instead of $120, sooooo..... yay?) They straight-up lied to me, and I just paid $90.80 for ACTUALLY nothing. I grabbed my things and walked out with some strong words. My wife and I will not be coming back here to these liars and thieves. (I will elaborate that we never used to have issues with them or their services, and we've been loyal patients of them for years now, but this straw was enough to forever taint my experience with them.)

I went in for a routine cleaning and exam which is covered by my insurance at 100%, and a cleaning and exam is what was performed. They claimed it was perio-maintenance, which triggers a $75 deductible and a copay. Very unhappy I was billed for a routine cleaning. Additionally, every time I have stepped foot in their offices they want to do X-rays, and these aren't always covered by insurance depending on when and how recently you've had them. They seem to want to squeeze every penny out of you and your insurance with the constant requests for X-rays and these tactics to switch a routine cleaning into other billable items.
