I have to give only two stars because of the following.... I must say that I was very happy that holiday inn did save the Day. 3 weeks prior to my stay there I reserved a room at a different hotel in Milwaukee. It was for my daughter's 8th birthday. We invited three kids from class to be able to swim and stay the night. 3 hours prior to check in that hotel called me and said that because I live within 30 miles of the hotel that they could not give me a room that that was their policy! I was livid! Being it that I reserved the room through Expedia, I did not see their ridiculous policy. I then called Holiday Inn to reserve the room so that my daughter's birthday wasn't ruined...or was it?? Upon arriving and checking in the woman at the desk (Carol) provided EXCELLENT customer service. Our room was neat and tidy. We checked out the pool area and I must say, it was much smaller than what the picture looked like. When the children arrived, they immediately jumped in the pool. Myself and the moms took a seat at the table and IMMEDIATELY our eyes started to water and get red from the excessive amounts of chlorine in the pool. Now I do realize that since it's a public pool, they have to add extra chlorine for sanitary reasons but OH MY GOD, I have NEVER been to ANY public pool like this. After about 2 hours my daughter and another child got out complaining that they couldn't breathe. Very soon after the other two followed saying their eyes hurt. During the night, I was the only adult chaperone left, and I had to deal with 2 kids who were up all night because they couldn't breathe and of course when I NEEDED my daughters inhaler there wasn't one in the car. In the morning, we all had breakfast which I must say was GREAT! Definitely not your typical "continental breakfast". If I ever needed a room to just stay at for the night I'd be back, but If I'd like to enjoy the amenities that the hotel offers, it would for sure be a hard pass. I HATE to leave reviews like this but it's exactly the way it was.

I will admit after a while most hotels seem to blend into the same ol building with beds and maybe breakfast. But with a staff with Mark and Carol made my stay here, over and above to incredible. I rarely give high praises with my reviews but in this case, there is no other way. The rooms are super clean, breakfast is hot with good selection, desk staff is top notch and other staff such as room staff and even maintenance people are just amazing. They took a very dark and troubling reason for my stay and turned it into an extremely pleasant and peaceful stay. I will be back and I recommend if you are within a 50 mile radius of this hotel, book it immediately. It won't take long for the secret to get out. You need to experience what pure service means. I guarantee you will be amazed. Rooms: Rooms were very clean. I will say it again. The rooms were very very clean. Bed is super comfy and all amenities are up to date and available when you need them. The hotel is kept in very good condition. You can tell it's important to the owner/operator to maintain a quality look and feel. Nearby activities: This area bosts multiple indoor sports arenas offering softball, soccer and other team sports. These arenas are new and state of the art. I witnessed people travel from all over the US with their kids teams just to play in one of the sport complexes. Safety: Hotel is off busy roads and interstate. However, it's more of a rural setting giving the location a quiet and safe spot. With an ER and Walk in Clinic across the road and other side of road multiple restaurants and stores such as Target you have everything within walking distance. Food & drinks: Speedway gas station right next door for your food and drink needs 24/7. Noteworthy details: They went the extra mile for my service animal. He was treated like a rockstar and he soaked up every minute of it. It's nice to see hotel staff interact with my service animal. Being a German Shepherd, many people shy away and truthfully I usually do not allow people to interact with him because he is a working dog. But none the less, they didn't make me or him feel uncomfortable or unwanted in any way nor did they ever give a suspicious eye or become overly watchful to ensure his proper behavior. This took a ton of stress off of me during my stay and it all comes down to outstanding customer service and support from every staff member and department. Kratos thanks you from the bottom of his paw.

I stay in here almost weekly and it's very dependable. Clean, nice rooms. Super comfortable bed and sheets. Could use a little more sound-proofing, especially between the door and hallway. They've always charged me at least $100 every night. Tho sometimes I've come close to midnight, and I knew they were pretty much empty (because there were a handful of cars in the lot) & even then I couldn't get any deal. BUT, when something must have been going on and the lot was just about full, they had no problem charging me $175 for the night (smallest room I've ever had there w/just one bed}. So if they do work on a sliding scale according to vacancy - that scale should go down as well as up! Rooms: Rooms are nice & they seem to have come down a little in price. They will definitely outrageously price gouge during events or seasons or something. Because all the rooms are essentially the same (ur either gonna have one King or two Queen) the rest is exactly the same (this is my company's preferred hotel cause it's close, mid-level, & everyone knows where it is. BUT, I've paid as much as $280 for 1 night for ur average Holiday Inn room! & that was during the pandemic, where beautiful, downtown rooms that would normally go for $300+ a night (& worth every penny) were going for like $90 a night (I know, that's what I paid for an enormous suite at one of the boutique Hilton's downtown). Now granted, it was towards the end of the pandemic when this Holiday Inn charged me $280 for 1 night, but for a few years their prices were way, way too high. My company, & I'm sure many others) just didn't even consider this hotel for a while cause it was just way out of step with pricing. They have seemed to come back down to earth. Most times it's about $150 with the taxes & fees, which isn't great, but reasonable. Because I will say this, it's a perfect business traveler's hotel; clean, relatively quiet, good location. ,& friendly, helpful staff

Thumper Diekow, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent experience.I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience with our pool, we keep the chlorine in the pool& hot tub within required levels by law.The levels are checked twice a day are they were exactly where they need to be.
