My review just after the work was done would have been higher.  The floors looked good and I was happy with the team that came out.  Less than a year later we ended up with a stain in the floor and when I called for advice how to fix and if they could help, I got the runaround.  "I'll call you back within the hour..." and no response.  Call back and told, "I'll call you after 3pm..." and no response.  I left a voicemail the next day, no call.  I ended up calling back again today and was told that there is nothing they can do, but redo the whole floor, and by the way, there is a large minimum price.

We've used MaxCare on a total of four projects and unfortunately I can not recommend the business. The first two projects we did with them went very well and we where pleased. The second two projects were two apartments in the same house and unfortunately did not go as well. There was a general lack of attention to detail and there are several small things that we are less than pleased with. The main problem however is that there is significant wave and chatter (uneven sanding) in some of the rooms in both units. In my opinion, it looks like one of there sanders requires some maintenance. This happens from time to time and in defense of there employees it's actually quite difficult to notice before finishing is put down. Problematically, maxcare has refused to communicate with us at all about this issue. We've left them several messages over the course of many weeks trying to get in touch with them to resolve this. They have simply not responded. To me this is just unacceptable. While they did do good work on some of the projects that they did for us, refusing to acknowledge mistakes is not the trait of a reputable contractor. Service: Wood staining

A great experience and amazing results!!Maxcare was highly recommended by a friend of mine who is in the "flooring trades". He used them years ago at his own house and is still happy with the results so we thought we'd give them a try. So happy we did. When we bought our house, the circa 1925 oak floors were all in great shape, but there was one bedroom in the house that was carpeted. After about 4 years in the house we tore up the nasty carpet only to find out why the rug was  there in the first place. I swear that room was either used to potty train puppies or  to check faulty aquariums for leaks. The wood floors were so stained, Jackson Pollock would have been impressed. We figured we would try to get them refinished to see just how good they would turn out. If all failed, we would put carpeting back in the room. We scheduled a walkthrough with Tina, who was very nice and extremally professional, and then set up the days for their techs to come out and do the work. Both techs (Pablo and Will), were really great. Pablo talked me through a few things and assured me that staining would cover up 95% of the imperfections that remained after sanding. Will provided some great floor care and product advice. I'm happy to say that the results were stunning. I could hardly believe the before vs. the after photos. Of course, the first thing we did was to put back the area rugs and furniture, but at least now I know that what is covered up is just as beautiful as what is still exposed. Don't hesitate to let MaxCare quote your job. I glad I did, and I am very happy with the results. I received a 10% discount for scheduling in February because it is their slowest month.
