Edit: I returned two years later, to their new building, and things have improvedthey have weekly things like on Mondays, Celebrate Recovery, and Wednesday they have church family nights. People will be people, and not all are the friendliest, but you have to get to know people like anywhere in life. Come with an open mind and put your expectations in Christ alone 2 years agoI wish I could say I had a better experience than I have visiting this church. I have visited on two occasions, around a month ago, two Sunday weeks in a row. Not once was I welcomed or said hello to by anyone. Everyone is very focused on themselves and who they are with, family members or friends, and do not seem approachable or even make eye contact. The message was even about how to be a better church community and show the love of Christ to the needy, and honestly the preaching seemed to preach against the behaviors that seem formed at this cliquey feeling church. I even went into the prayer room for prayer, and wasnt even acknowledged upon entering the prayer room! I had to assert myself by asking, this is where to go if you need prayer, correct? amidst two women who seemed too busy talking to pray. When entering and leaving, I felt as if I didnt exist or matter in the slightest, contrary to the preaching. However, if what you preach and what is represented in your church body and as a church is in such stark contrast, it doesnt make much sense.
