Let me say, before the plot thickens, that Lucy was on the OPPOSING side. Since lawyers are inclined to, well, jump on things like libel, I can only state Court-reported facts.Lucy filed a motion to prevent me from taking my daughter out of state, during Covid. Motion was GRANTED, however Judge deemed her client, my daughter's biological mother, was under the SAME restriction. Imagine the horror of equity!Lucy didn't care for this so she filed another motion, "Objects of the parties taking the child more than 100 miles from Menomonie. There is no basis in law or fact for this restrictive measure."She won her motion and then filed a motion letting the Judge know his ruling had no basis "in law or fact."Ready for another? Here we go. Our MSA (divorce decree) states, "...costs shall be shared equally...which include...child care costs." Lucy's client does not wish to share such costs, so Lucy filed a motion objecting, "The Petitioner has the ability to arrange her work schedule so that childcare is not required nor needed." Hey cool, the MSA is iron-clad unless your part-time job allows you to work any hours. Seems a solid legal argument.As an aside, she does bankruptcy law. Under oath, I had to explain to her the difference between a paystub and a paycheck. Also, I had to explain, under oath, why disability is not taxable. Should also mention that the Judge reminded Lucy that she was not at her "first rodeo."Have fun!
