We had a lesson for my two tween/teen boys and they loved it. The teacher showed the boys all the horses and let them be hands on from brushing them, putting the saddle in, and riding a horse.

This is a great getaway camp. Especially if you want to make some new friends and are in love with horses. All the councilers are friendly, and do are the instructors. Coming here gives me joy and lets me forget about stress. The activites we do lets us have fun. And not riding all day is nice to. Overall this camp is amazing. I would like to say that their age cutoff is personally kinda ridiculous I wish they had older age groups. They also no longer have resident camp so I wasn't able to go to hoofbeat for my last 3 years like I wanted to as I was to old for Day Camp

Hoofbeat was the absolute best part of my childhood and teen years! The experiences and life lessons learned there will never be forgotten, it truly is one big family! Ted, his family and the Hoofbeat Staff always make safety the top priority, and it is a great place for beginner riders as well as riders with more experience! I can't recommend Hoofbeat enough and hope to send my own kids there one day!
