Lakeland Care, Inc.

My mother was receiving care through Lakeland and after she passed last summer, no one from this company has offered any condolences or shown us any compassion. We were given the run around about her final bill and it has been a nightmare trying to speak to anyone because no one will call us back. The only callback we received was three days after she passed and the message left was incredibly unhelpful and cold. Out of all the entities that my family has had to deal with to settle my moms affairs, Lakeland has BY FAR been the worst. The way my family has been treated after the death of our loved one speaks volumes about this company.

I have a medical professional license. I have had it 26 years. My experience with this office? I had my HIPAA RIGHTS violated. They disclosed a part of my medical record to a family member. Then they falsely reported to that family member. I am using ILLEGAL UNPRESCRIBED SUBSTANCES based on how I sounded on a phone call. When I looked up the reviews here. The first thing I saw was a five star review. It was written by my RN case manager. Google defines that as FRAUD. So if you want to work with a company employing nurses, who violate your rights, make up their own diagnoses of your disabilities and engage in fraudulent reporting practices? Please dont take a chance, it may cost you your job, health or life. Google needs a new way to rate people, places and things. I would suggest just as many negative ratings, say a red flag on a scale of 1-5. Because there are no stars at Lakeland in Manitowoc.
