St. Ambrose Academy is an incredible school! I have two children that have graduated from the school who have gone on to enjoy successful college and professional experiences due to their great education! Currently, I have a 7th grader in the school. During this 2020-2021 school year, I am deeply grateful for the school's commitment to meeting the unique needs of families. The school has gone to great lengths to provide two learning options to families during the pandemic. We parents can choose virtual learning or in-person learning. My son needs in person education, and I have been so impressed by the safety measures the school has put in place so that kids like my son can learn in person.

We have great confidence in the education our students are receiving at St. Ambrose, as well as the environment in which they are learning. Faculty and staff are knowledgeable and caring, and students thrive as they learn. All three of our St. Ambrose graduates are successful in their chosen fields, due in great part to the excellent education they received at St. Ambrose. College was easily accessible for them, and the study habits they learned at this classical academy have served them very well. We are proud to send our remaining students to St. Ambrose as well, knowing that they can attend either in person or virtually, depending on their health and other circumstances. Thank you, St. Ambrose!

All of my kids have attended St Ambrose. I was pleased and excited to attend the meetings years ago, as the school was formed. The motto of, Teach them to think!, was exactly what I felt my kids needed to deal with the things of this world. As it goes with the school growing, and keeping around school leadership who are not equipped with dealing with a variety of modern day youth issues, nor holding some of the teachers accountable to this motto, it my be advisable at this time to change the schools motto to,: Teach them to comply!. Or, there is always an option to leave. Dont get me wrong, there are some excellent and responsive teachers at St. Ambrose. They are just not in charge of running the school, nor managing the staff. For me, the high cost of tuition, does not justify the outcome, nor the experience my kids have had. Ive heard of better results and more love coming from Charter Schools in the inner cities. I believe if St Ambrose were to hire new leadership, that focused more on the success of every student (Spiritually, emotionally, and academically) than on raising money from their benefactors to grow the school, they might be a valid option for another family somewhere in the future. But at this time, check out other options.

First of all, google the lawsuit against this school. I was a student at St Ambrose for 5 years. Teachers had favorite students based on their grades and ties to their families who ran the school or were friends with those families. They expect all of their students to be religious in the Catholic community and if not they treat them differently. They expect children to be on the academic level of a college student, over loading them with a ridiculous amount of work. When it was my time to graduate I had no idea what my options were and I had no help looking for college. And I was made fun of what I picked by the other students. They try to push religious vocations on you for a career. There is ZERO diversity in the school and no culture is taught. Options for extra curricular is slim to none. No lunchroom, gym, library, music room... they don't even own their own building. Considering how much money it is to send your children to private school I don't know where all this money is going towards. I feel very unfulfilled with my high school experience and I feel like I was set up for failure. I know way too many kids who have graduated with PTSD from going to this school and the amount of Catholic guilt they feel on a daily basis. It's unbelievable how much brainwashing these people are doing to these kids. And they don't even have a student counselor for how much stress they are putting on these students. Everyone I know who graduated from the school needs therapy. If you have a child at St.Ambrose or are considering sending them to this school please give your child an option. I would never send my children to a school like this. Even though Dane county is requiring masks for students during COVID-19 masks are not required at all currently at the school.
