    Highway robbery from this company. Also, how are you supposed to pay online when you aren't given any information? Every other member in my surgery gave me a payment plan ONLINE but this company. I shouldn't have to call you, you would have been paid already.

    Same lack of billing experience as the other reviews. No communication, no records, no itemized bill, no recourse other than a debt collection agency. The issue is there is also no way to avoid using their services as the hospital calls them in with no communication as to the fact they are a separate billing entity or even any indication they are not another member of the standard team. They also do not show up on insurance billing records so no way to know they even exist. This is also on Meriter/Unity for using this service of course.

    My anesthesiologist sent my professional charge to a debt collector. I never received a paper copy, I never received a phone call, I never received a message, and the bill never appeared on My UnityPoint. I received a call from a debt collector with American Accounts and Advisors. I asked him how I could follow-up to find out whether his call was legitimate (since I had no record of a bill). He refused to tell me who I could contact to confirm the bill was legitimate. I went around the horn with phone calls at UnityPoint Health Meriter and eventually found that the Madison Anesthesiology Consultants was responsible for this professional charge. I called them, they claimed they had sent the bill via mail and called me. Then they confirmed that it was sent to the debt collector and I paid the charge through the collector.

    Any provider, clinic or hospital that has any sort of relationship with this group should be ashamed. They are incapable of submitting even the simplest claims to insurance companies and quickly turn medical accounts over to collections. Its impossible to connect with anyone even remotely competent via phone, email or the postal service. If you do happen to get an actual human on the phone they just pass you off from one incompetent person to the next. Ive now been dealing with this company for more than 2 years and they still havent been able to submit a claim to my insurance provider.

    0 Stars They refuse to bill insurance despite me calling, mailing, and emailing them. They keep sending me bills and won't do their job. Unity Point Meriter need to cut ties with this horrific practice.
