Took disability insurance coverage out on every loan through my credit for the past 20 years and they use CUNA for their disability insurance carrier. I have never made even a single claim. Had an injury that required surgery. They denied the claim saying it was a pre-existing condition. Super slow to process the claim. I had to keep calling and took nearly 6 weeks to find out it was just going to be denied. What a waste of money for 20 years.

Once again I've been fed b/s was told I would recive a check over night express and would be given a tracking number well neither has happend can't trust anything this place says stay far away

If at all possible avoid doing business with CUMIS Insurance Society, Inc.
May 27, 2021 while leaving the local State Employees Credit Union I was knocked down on the hard tile floor by the opening of a heavy door. Ive spent over $12,000 in medical treatments, I still suffer pain every day. CUMIS has not reimbursed me one cent. They have lied and cheated this entire time. They even stated that the SECU had no responsibility for the accident. BUT, before Covid hit there were barriers up around the door that hit me. When Covid came the barriers were removed to make room for the sanitation table. The barriers were never replaced to protect people from getting hit by the door. They have not listened to me or cared what I have said. They are big with clever lawyers so they can step all over honesty, justice and pain. What a shame.
