Mendota Lake House B&B

We have stayed here twice, and both times had a very pleasant experience. Though our room wasnt the largest available, it did have a large bathtub and a balcony. The common areas are beautiful and delightful to hang out in. Bob and Dave are wonderful hosts. Walkability: Nice area for walks, near to food, drink Noteworthy details: Good selection of books to browse and board games to play.

Great place to stay in Madison! Centrally located for an easy walk to downtown. Easy access to a short trail along Mendota Lake that was maintained in the winter. Tenney-Lapham is also a beautiful neighborhood to take a walk. The Oscar Wilde room was very spacious for the two of us. The bathroom had a separate room for the rain shower and bathtub. The bathtub has a heating feature that keeps it warm and it has an air setting that is similar to jets but not strong pressure on your skin. Mendota Lake House is a great example of old architecture with tasteful remodeling efforts. Highly recommended for the price, I would definitely stay here again. Nice place. Nice rooms. We had the whole place. Quiet safe. Needs a bit of TLC. Walkability: Near restaurants and nice location.

The lake setting is lovely, the front gardens abundant, though the star is the amazing interior with nothing impeding the lake view . Each & every window is stunning with stained glass detailing, the main rooms with super furniture of the period. Just . Blessings. Walkability: I walked easily to a highly recommended neighborhood restaurant, Little Tibet. Lovely food too! And wait staff both nights was laudable. Blessings.
